Our Story
More Than a Farm—A Family Mission
At Mother Cluckin' Chicken, we believe everyone deserves to know where their food comes from and the people who raise it.
We're the Iglehart family, and in 2024 we left Colorado behind to pursue a dream that had been growing in our hearts for years: building a family farm dedicated to raising exceptional poultry with honesty, integrity, and respect for the land.
What started with a handful of chickens quickly grew into a passion for regenerative farming and producing food the way nature intended.
Today, every chicken we raise is part of that commitment.
Raising Chickens the Way They Were Meant to Be
Our birds spend their days on pasture with fresh air, sunshine, room to roam, and plenty of opportunities to scratch, peck, and forage.
Instead of relying on conventional feed, we chose a different path.
Our chickens are fed a non-GMO, organic, corn-free, and soy-free diet because we believe quality starts with what goes into our animals long before it reaches your dinner table.
You'll often hear us say:
"Bugs, Not Drugs."
That simple phrase reflects our philosophy. Healthy birds raised in a healthy environment don't need shortcuts. We focus on good nutrition, clean pasture, and low-stress handling to raise birds naturally.
Why We Farm
For us, farming isn't simply about selling chicken.
It's about rebuilding the connection between families and their food.
Too often, people have no idea where their food comes from or how it was raised. We want to change that by being transparent about everything we do—from the feed we use to the way we care for our flock.
When you buy from Mother Cluckin' Chicken, you're supporting a local Missouri family committed to raising food with integrity, caring for the land, and continually improving our farming practices for future generations.
From Our Family to Yours
Every order represents far more than a package of chicken.
It's the result of early mornings, late evenings, hard work, and a family working together toward a common purpose. Whether we're caring for chicks, moving pasture pens, collecting eggs, or preparing orders for market, every member of our family plays a role.
We are honored each time you choose to put our chicken on your family's table.
Thank you for supporting local agriculture and allowing us to do what we love.
From our family to yours—
Thank you for giving a cluck about what you eat.
