Our Story
In December of 2024, our family — Jonathan, Allison, Hayden, Kahlan, Emma, and Amanda — packed up our life in Colorado Springs and headed for Holden, Missouri, with a dream that was a little bit crazy and a whole lot of inspired. We traded suburban streets for country dirt roads, office noise for the sound of clucking hens, and decided to build something that mattered — not just to us, but to our community. That dream became Mother Cluckin’ Chicken.
We started small, with a few birds, a handful of feed buckets, and a big belief that food should mean more than just what’s on your plate. We wanted to raise chickens the right way — on pasture, with fresh air, sunshine, and plenty of space to roam. No shortcuts, no corners cut. Just honest, healthy, flavorful food raised with care and intention.
